    | | More than
anything I try to listen. It is important for me to find the
voice within the emerging image and let it speak. If I am
lucky, it sings as well or opens up a new world to explore.
Often, in the beginning, this shows up as a pure, subconscious
flow of color and brushwork, giving me an opportunity to stand
aside and watch; letting go of control. Within this dialogue,
I find openness and an exchange of ideas rather than a one-sided
                    stagnant event.

There is an availability of emotions, a warp in time, a sense
of discovery and possibility. Simultaneously, I can feel my
training as a painter, my will, the influence of the day and
events in my life contribute to the process.

I am dedicated to the process for its own sake and look forward
to the element of surprise it brings.
